This wonderfully atmospheric engraving depicts a youthful Jack Shepherd, (later to earn notoriety as a highwayman), with the bulldogs owned by the bare knuckle prize fighter, Jem Burns. The 3 dogs, Duchess, Cribb and Ball, can be regarded as the ancestors of both the modern Bulldog and Staffordshire Bull Terrier.

Excellent. With no creases, scuffs or bends. I suspect you won't see one in better condition than this one.

Dispatch
Your item will be very carefully packed and posted to you in a proper stout postal tube, complete with plastic end caps. Your print will be wrapped in acid free tissue paper to protect it during transit and you will also receive a full page of hints and tips on how to look after your artwork, a full biography of the artist, illustrated with a photograph of the actual artist, an illustrated list of some other items I may have available on your breed and an illustrated collectors CAC postcard showing Scarlett, my young Dandie Dinmont Terrier!
Whilst every possible care will be taken with the packing and dispatch of your item, I will be unable to accept responsibility for any items which are posted unrecorded or uninsured and will be posted at the buyers own risk.
