Korda Rig Toolz

We take rig tying very seriously at Korda. After all, this is the most important part of our setup and having the right tools in your armoury is an essential part of successful rig tying. In this section you will find various items that not only make your life easier but also make your rigs better.

We never release products for the sake of it, preferring to identify new kit that actually makes the whole rig-construction process much easier. Take our Strippa and Pulla Tools for instance, or the new Chod-It tool – all make rig tying simpler and can be found in all of Team Korda’s tackle boxes.

Razorblades

Ok, there are plenty of scissors already on the market but we felt we could still improve on these. All the versions currently available are generally made in a dull, carpy colours; meaning they are often lost amongst the undergrowth, not these babies! The handles have been manufactured in a bright Korda green, if you misplace these you need to go to 'Specsavers'! 
The blades have been thoroughly fieldtested and definitely stay sharper than competitors.

Strippa

Since releasing our Hybrid hook link material we have been inundated with emails and calls from people enquiring how to strip it. For the last few years we have recommended using your teeth, which can't be doing anyone any favours for their dentist bills! Dave Gawthorn actually has a small groove in one of his teeth after prolonged coating removal! 
Well we have now found an answer to this problem - the unique Strippa Tool. This is a simple but extremely effective device that can be used for all coated hook link materials, making it an absolute must have item for any serious carp angler.
The Strippa Tool is a small, neat product manufactured with Anodised Aluminium, in British Racing Green. This truly is a nail and teeth saviour for those anglers who love using coated hook links.

Pulla

The Pulla has been specially designed so that the angler can easily pull knots tight on hook links and check that they are strong enough. The 2mm stainless steel hook fits perfectly through a Korda Size 8 Swivel or a link loop. This handy little tool makes tying rigs much easier as holding the swivel and tightening up can be a fiddly job.

Baiting Needles

Baiting tools are an important part of any carp anglers kit, some people are happy to use one needle for everything. 
However seeing as we are self-confessed perfectionists, we like to use exactly the right tools for the Job. For that reason we have designed these little babies! 
We have produced the needles in mega bright colours to minimise the chance of misplacing them. How many times have you thread boilies or particles onto your hair, flicked the needle onto the grass and lost it? A lot I would guess. However, this is now completely eliminated with the luminous new colours.
So, whether you need one with a long stem, short stem, thick needle, thin needle, latch, or no latch, there will be a needle to suit every circumstance.

Bait Drill & Cork Sticks

These precision-engineered drills are perfect for creating popular balanced presentations like the KD rig and Muzza rig. There are two drills in the range, 8mm and 6mm, which will cater for a range of hook baits, including standard baits, smaller boilies and tiger nuts. The tips of the drill bits have been specially engineered to allow baits to be drilled without cracking. Each drill comes supplied with six quality cork sticks that fit the drilled holes perfectly.

We also supply replacement packs of cork sticks, each of which contain 10 cylinders.

Krimping Tool

We’ve been fielding questions about the release date for what seems like years, but we’re finally ready to unveil the Krimp Tool. This clever system will allow us all to reach brand-new heights of neatness in rig creation.

The Krimps and Krimp tool have been designed to allow easy rig construction with stiff materials (at the moment we only recommend Hybrid Stiff and Mouth Trap). In particular, we’re really excited about the potential to create extremely neat loops for chod rigs. Not only this, but using Krimps will allow you to create chod rigs that are exactly the same length each and every time. 

There are two sizes of Krimp available, which have been designed to suit different materials. The smaller one will suit stiff bristle materials like Mouth Trap and stiff coated braids, like our Hybrid Stiff, and the larger one is perfect for really thick materials (like 30lb plus mono).

The product development team went to extreme lengths to make sure that the Krimps and Krimp tools were exactly right, having to overcome various problems along the way. The complexity of getting the tool and Krimps just right has meant that this has been a long development, but we’re sure that it’s been well worth the wait. Judging from the interest that you’ve shown in this product range, it’s about to become one of Korda’s most popular products!

Krusha

Korda's new, special-edition Krusha. It's now available in Korda's signature black and green and features an improved, soft-touch grip. Constructed from hard-wearing, tough plastic, the Krusha has been designed to make mincemeat of the toughest baits and it can crumb anything, from boilies to pellets and from tiger nuts to sweetcorn. It is much easier and quieter to use than the food choppers that many anglers currently use and we believe that when these anglers see the Krusha they will be chomping at the bit to get one!

The Krusha is avaliable in two sizes, with the larger of the two designed more for boilies up to around 20mm and the smaller one perfect for a whole host of baits, such as pellets.

Chod It Tool

This beautifully sculpted piece of anodized aluminium is just the thing to help you create the finest chod rigs and stiff rigs imaginable! It features a tapering point to allow you to tease the D-rig into the perfect shape as well as a mushroom cap for tensioning swivel knots, and a recess for forming perfect loops. In fact the tapering diameter of the whole tool can be used to round loops of various sizes. Indispensible for the angler who wants to tie chod rigs like the masters.
