This is an extra-early variety bearing yummy fruit long before most other varieties. The beautiful compact plants will rarely have vines that exceed 3 feet each. They will be loaded with wonderful smelling round 3-4 inch fruits. Minnesota Midget boasts sugary flesh that's edible right to the rind. Its an especially good choice for northern gardeners who usually cant grow melons, as well as being the best cantaloupe for containers. This plant is attractive to beneficial insects like butterflies, and birds! It is naturally resistant to fusarium wilt. Its a wonderful Heirloom variety introduced by the University of Minnesota in 1948. Im sure you'll love it!
