 | Knee and Shin Wader Guards These are the best in the European market. Designed specifically for fishing. These are a wrap around design that is lightweight and comfortable in use. The tough nylon fabric on the knee and shin prolong the life of these guards. The extra padding on the knee makes kneeling on the bank or in the river more comfortable. They are not over padded which would make them uncomfortable and bulky and so do not offer the same kneeling protection as other less comfortable solutions. The wrap around design protects your expensive waders from thorns, brambles, barbed wire and terriers nipping at your heels.
They stay put and do not fall down as you walk. This is a problem that other bulky knee and shin protectors have.
The neoprene is not too thick that it adds buoyancy to your lower leg. The neoprene is a special variety with small pores that allow the water to escape from behind the guards and gives a small element of breathability. It is also extremely flexible to give a comfortable fit over a large range of leg sizes (31cm to 44cm at the widest part of the calf.)
Fitting so closely to the lower leg the water flows more smoothly round the leg and makes wading fast waters easier. It also adds an extra layer of insulation while in the water without getting too hot while out of the water.
The hook and loop tabs fit flush and will not catch your line. The loop section is wide to allow for plenty of adjustment to fit your leg perfectly.
