From the mastermind of George Anderson comes FROM HELL, presenting an epic horror concept album "Ascent From Hell” recorded with metal icons Paul Bostaph of Slayer, Damien Sisson of Death Angel and Steve Smyth of Nevermore, Testament, and his new band One Machine.

FROM HELL is a heavy metal band with a horror theme concept. Their debut release hit the states on April 8th, 2014 and now Europe on September 26th. It is called Ascent From Hell and it is as heavy as it is epic! FROM HELL is the brainchild of George Anderson and for this album aka Aleister Sinn, the live narrator of this horror story. George began this project in 2007 after his previous band Down Factor disbanded. Interested in putting a different type of band together that was not involved in politics, George formed FROM HELL to tell horror stories in the vein of King Diamond. Every song is in some way linked to all of the other songs and when the album starts, it doesn’t stop until the very end.

After several line-up changes, during the recording of the first album, George enlisted some amazing players to record with him in FROM HELL. For this debut recording, metal icons Paul Bostaph from Slayer on drums, Steve Smyth from Nevermore and One Machine on lead guitar and Damien Sisson from Death Angel on bass were recruited to make this record happen. This recording is diabolically epic, and heavy as Hell! Every song is different from the next covering many genres of metal from thrash metal and black metal to death metal and doom metal. This album is as dynamic as metal can be! Also participating in this recording is Phil Bennett of the iconic rock band Starship, playing piano on the track Dead Reckoning and a 22-piece choir, The Pacific Mozart Ensemble on four other tracks.

Produced by George Anderson and Steve “Snake” Green, guitar player from Skinlab, a Century Media recording artist, this recording is a theatrical 70 minutes long with segues in between each song to give additional detail to this horror story. With songs like The Walking Dead, Soul Crusher, Nun With A Gun and Ascent From Hell, this record will take you on a heavy metal horror ride to Hell!

FROM HELL ist eine neue Horror Konzept Heavy Metal Band. Ihre erste Veröffentlichung schlug am 8. April 2014 in den Staaten ein und erreicht Europa am 26. September 2014. „Ascents From Hell“ heißt die Scheibe und ist eben so hart wie episch! FROM HELL sind eine Erfindung von George Anderson aka Aleister Sinn, dem Live-Erzähler dieser Horror Story. Das Projekt begann 2007 nachdem seine vorherige Band DOWN FACTOR sich auflöste. In dem Interesse einen anderen Typ von Band, ohne politischen Bezug, zusammen zu stellen, formte George „FROM HELL“ um Horrorgeschichten im Stile von King Diamond zu erzählen. Jedes der Stücke steht in irgendeiner Weise in einem Bezug zu den anderen Stücken, weshalb es bis zum Ende keine Unterbrechungen zwischen den einzelnen Titeln gibt.

Nach mehreren Änderungen in der Besetzung während der Aufnahme des ersten Albums, engagierte George ein paar großartige Musiker, um mit ihm für „FROM HELL“ aufzunehmen. Für dieses Debut spielten im Studio keine geringeren als Paul Bostaph von Slayer an den Drums, Damian Sisson von Death Angel am Bass und Steve Smyth von Nevermore an der Lead-Gitarre und machten so die Aufnahme möglich. Und der Name „FROM HELL“ ist Programm: Diese Aufnahme ist teuflisch genial und hart wie die Hölle! Jeder Song ist unterschiedlich und viele Genres des Metal werden bedient u.a. Thrash und Black Metal bis zu Death oder Doom Metal ist alles vertreten. Dieses Album ist so dynamisch wie Metal nur sein kann! Außerdem spielte Phil Bennet von der Kultband Starship Klavier bei dem Stück Dead Reckoning und der 22-köpfige Chor The Pacific Mozart Ensemble ist in vier Songs zu hören.
