ARTIFACT: This is a circa early 1940s Passenger Service agent badge for Avianca. Avianca, which stood for Aerov??as Nacionales de Colombia S.A. (National Airways of Colombia), became affiliated with Pan American Airways (PAA) in the early 1940s. The badge reads "Svc. Pasajeros". The airline is now known as Airways of the American Continent. 

 VINTAGE: Circa early 1940s. 

 SIZE: About 2" in width by 1-1/4" in height. 

 MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass with enamel accent. 

 ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with C catch. 

 MARKINGS: No official markings but SILVIA is scratched into back (may not be visible in image below).
