Beautiful Bamboo Forest Hand Painted Batik Quilt

Our gorgeous quilts are completely hand crafted on the Island of Bali exclusivly for Acadia World Traders. Each quilt top is painstakingly hand batiked by a group of Balinese Ladies in the Ubud Area. 

Ubud is  famous for this type of batik painting. The molten wax is drawn on to each quilt top in the desired design. The colors are then brushed on by hand with simple bamboo brushes and blended. The wax forms a block and prevents the colors from bleeding into one another. When they are done applying the colors, the dyes are set, and the wax is removed. And the amazing fabrics are laid out in the rice fields to dry. This results in a beautiful depth of color you would never find in a mass produced machine printed fabric.

The quilts are machine sewn with simple foot powered antique singer sewing machines, and intricately stitched freehand over the design for added depth and to hold down the filling. We use only 100% high quality cotton  for the tops and the backings on our quilts, and high quality Dacron fill for warmth.

This quilt has a beautiful turquoise background, and the bamboo is done in restful shades of green. Will bring a serene and cool feeling to your bedroom.

You could team this up with solid colored sheets and pillow covers for a complete look! Just match solid sheets and shams from one of the many colors incorporated into this unique bedcover. 

You may machine wash in cold water on a gentle cycle and hang to dry, or dry on a cool cycle in your dryer.

You may also choose to dry clean.

SHIPPING

We ship within 1 business day of receiving a cleared payment. We ship USPS First Class or Priority Mail with confirmation/tracking number. On larger pieces, we use UPS.  All orders totaling $500 and above will require a direct signature upon delivery. We require a phone number also used only for shipping purposes.

International Orders

The buyer is responsible for paying for any customs duties or fees that may be incurred in their country. We are not responsible for any delays that may be caused by your countries customs regulations. We do all we can to ensure your purchase is shipped in a timely manner. RETURNS

Claims must be made within 30 days of receiving your order. Item must be in original unused condition. You may contact us directly for return instructions. Or use eBay's simple return process. Your item may be exchanged or you may opt for a refund less any shipping and handling charges. Buyer pays return shipping. All returns should be sent to our Trenton Maine USA office for processing.
