Tyrod was a leader during his time at Virginia Tech. Led his teams to 3 ACC Championships, earning 2010 ACC Player of the Year, 2010 ACC Offensive Player of Year, and 2 time ACC Championship Game MVP in 2008 & 2010.

Taylor was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in 6th round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He was with the Ravens from 2011-2014 earning a Super Bowl ring as the backup QB in 2012. Starting QB 2015-2017 for the Buffalo Bills. In 2017 he led Buffalo to their first playoff appearance since 1999. Taylor was traded to the Cleveland Browns in 2018. Tyrod also spent time with the Los Angeles Chargers and is currently with the Houston Texans.
