The below prices are for 127mm Slats. 89mm and 100mm slats will make the blinds 10% dearer.

Sewn in weights will also make the blinds 10% dearer.

You can order 100mm slat width or 89mm slat width if you require it for your particular situation. The price, however, will be 10% dearer. Please ask us to make a listing for you if you require a different size slat before ordering.

* Whether you are mounting the blinds on the front of the window or inside the frame(this determines which mounting brackets we need to send you).

* Which side you would like the controls, left or right.

*Where the slats need to bunch when the blind is opened.

(See pictures above) If your window opens on the right side then you need to bunch the slats to the (left) to keep them out of the breeze. If the window opens on the left you will need to bunch them on the (right). Large windows that have openings at both ends need to bunch in the (centre). Some sliding doors and windows are located in the middle of two fixed panels. in this case you would want to order a two way draw (TWD) so the slats divide in the centre and bunch half of the slats at either end.

Measuring your blinds

Visit How to Measure your blinds Please supply all measurements in millimetres, width x drop and indicate so with a W and D next to the measurements to ensure we get the right pricing and make the blinds correctly once you order.

It is important when you measure that you make sure there is no window fittings, locks, bars, window grips etc that may interfere with the blind open and closing (see picture above). If there are you can mount the blind on the front of the window frame (see pictures above of front (face) and inside (reveal) mount).

(please do not use measurements off your house plans. You need to physically measure each window as a few millimetres out can cause the blind to not work properly.)

This is the overall window size the blind will cover. The width measurement is from the outside of the track to outside of the other end of the track. The drop is from the top of the bracket to the bottom of the slat. The measurement includes allowances for the blind to fit inside the window space.

Please contact us if you wish to purchase multiple sizes, quantities, etc and we can make a listing to suit you.

This is the overall window size the blind will cover. The measurement includes allowances for the blind to fit inside the window space. (I.E: We will take 5mm off the width so it will fit inside the window frame. So a 600mm wide blind will be delivered 595mm to allow for the brackets to fit in.)

All our blinds are made to order as you order. They will take time to be manufactured and dispatched to you via courier. As they are made to order we cannot start the manufacturing process until payment is received in full. We do not offer a C.O.D option.

A very important aspect for customers intending to purchase blinds is that vertical blind chains and strings can be dangerous as they risk children getting caught in the loop and being accidentally injured. That is why we supply a special child safety clip that secures the looped string and chain to the wall or frame of the window.

Note: We do not supply screws for mounting the brackets with this item. They will need to be supplied by you.

Child Safety

(Important) We supply child safety devices.

A baby or young child can become entangled in curtain or blind cords in seconds. This can happen when cords are too long or end in a loop. If a child slips, moves quickly or plays with a cord, the cord can act like a noose and strangle the child. Babies can reach through cot slats, grab a nearby blind or curtain cord and pull it into the cot and around their necks. Young children can accidentally strangle on dangling cords after climbing onto a bed or other pieces of furniture. Follow these simple steps to keep blind and curtain cords out of children's reach, particularly children under 6 years old:

The supplied Cord guides must be installed so that a loose cord cannot form a loop of 220 mm or longer at a height of less than 1600 mm above floor level.

If the final installation of the cord guide is below 1600 mm above floor level, the cord must be tensioned to prevent such a loop from forming.

Keep children away from all cords – move furniture, cots and beds away.

You must fit and not remove any warning label or swing tag supplied with the corded internal window covering. This should be attached to the child safety device as shown below.

Child safety 1

1/ Push gently down on the bottom screw hole and slide the top cover down and off the safety cord guide.

Child safety 2

2/ Position the cord guide on your wall/frame pulling a small amount of tension onto the string. Then screw a crew throught the screw hole to attach the guide to the wall/frame. NOTE: The supplied Cord guides must be installed so that a loose cord cannot form a loop of 220 mm or longer at a height of less than 1600 mm above floor level.

3/ Slip the cover back up along the side guides and then place the supplied warning label over the second screw hole and attach to the wall/frame with a second screw.

Shaw's Vibe Fabric description:A 100% blackout fabric. Vibe offers a sophisticated colour range. The PVC free acrylic coating has anti-fade, easy clean and antifungal properties.

Characteristics: Dust & mould resistant, Fade Resistant, Easy Care, PVC Free, X-Link Technology

Care:

Fabric should be regularly dusted / vacuumed as appropriate and may be wet cleaned to remove grease or finger marks etc.

Recommended cleaning agent is mild detergent in lukewarm water. Fabric may be sponged but severe rubbing should be avoided.

White spirits may be used for spot cleaning; methylated spirits (ethanol) and dr y cleaning solvent (Perc) must not be used. As usual, if commercial spot cleaners are used, then instructions regarding testing of an inconspicuous area should be followed.

Once your order is complete your blinds will be dispatched with a courier company. As courier companies deliver during business hours we suggested that you give us a delivery address for where you work or where you know someone will be there Monday-Friday during the day. If your blinds are delivered and you are not at home, a calling card will be left by the courier with details on how to collect your blinds.

Every effort is made to complete your order within 21 Days. However, no responsibility is taken for delay caused by circumstances beyond our control.

Guarantee

GKM guarantee your blinds will be free from defects due to faulty materials for 12 months, on the provision that the product was properly installed in accordance with our installation guidelines. This only applies to the original owner of the blinds. The warranty is extended to the original purchaser only, in the original windows for which it was intended in residential properties only.

Our obligation to you

For claims covered by the warranty, GKM will replace or repair any product with like or similar parts, found to be defective as a result of faulty materials. This excludes shipping costs.

Warranty limits

Blind warranty does not apply to any GKM blinds or parts thereof which fail due to accident, alterations, improper use, abuse, neglect, normal wear, nor colour fading due to sunlight or direct exposure to salt air, failure to follow instructions for measuring and installing or operating the product.

Any defect, malfunction or other failure of the product to conform to this limited warranty will be remedied by GKM solely in the manner provided in this warranty.
