Rock Hopper Homeware is a partnership between Jessica Holt and Friends. We share a long and loving relationship with the ocean, where the land meets the sea is a magical place for us. As well as work, we also play with our children as often as time allows in the breaks and swells at Llanrhystud, Aberaeron, New Quay, Aberytswyth and Borth. 

What the sea gives us back is the will of nature, shells pebbles and of course driftwood are all shaped by the singular and most mighty force on the planet, our oceans.

Our philosophy is to produce unique and replicable charms and interior decor from the things we find within touching distance of our home. Each item we make is personal to us and crafted soley by us. The finished product is as natural as we can make it with every attention paid to detail, fit and function.

Sadly a lot of what is available to todays modern consumer is often replicated driftwood or mass produced trinkets with wood harvested from some of the planets most precious beaches and deltas. Labelled as fair trade and priced to sell  represent a poor deal for our planets poorest workers.

Whilst we are out collecting driftwood and any other bounty that catches our eye, we also clean up what we can carry from every beach visited. Plastic pollution in our oceans has increased with the population globally and with our modern consumer culture.

On average we remove 2-4 recycle bags of plastic from each beach we visit, we wish would could carry more. With every square mile of ocean estimated to contain some 46,000 pieces of plastic its our way of taking out much more than we as individuals could ever put in.
