1917 Gibson Harp Guitar Style “U”, Black, Highly ornate upper end model, Superb craftsman ship with beautifully carved scrolls, Missing bridge & tail piece, Gorgeous instrument! VG+, OHSC, $6,995 This is a beauty but needs to have a new bridge/tail piece constructed. Although there are some pins for the harp strings in the case pocket. The guitar is in over all great shape for being nearly 100 years old. It has a long top hairline repair that runs along the pickguard below the sound hole to the bottom end. It’s touched up there as well. There are no cleats inside. On the bass side top there are two small wear spots (not damages) that have a little touch up paint on them. This is a really neat piece! Gibson artisans certainly showed off their workmanship skills in this era. It’s such a fascinating piece inside & out!
