OTHER: Red Streaked Mizuna Mustard is similar to
Green Mizuna, but it’s all dressed up for a night on the town in jazzy reds
& purples. The 2 do look fantastic together though! This mustard gets rave
reviews, & is hugely popular for salads where it’s beautiful coloration can
be properly admired.
Mizuna Mustard is an heirloom Japanese mustard. They have a
fabulous fun feathery leaf shape that will definitely convince everyone you are
indeed a gourmet chef :) The red greens are crisp, mild, & slightly
peppery. They are not as spicy as other mustards or even arugula. Enjoy Mizuna raw
in salads or cooked like spinach, in soups & stir fries, or pickled. This
mustard is fast growing, & baby leaves are ready for harvest in just a few
weeks. This “cut & come again” green offers both a high yield & a long
production time. They are not picky about soil, & are very heat tolerant.
The compact plants with numerous thin stalks are great for containers. Red
Streaked Mizuna Mustard can be planted as a spring or fall crop.
