Info [English] They represent top class melodic hard rock and have become a German rock institution since the band came into existence 20 years ago. Based in North Rhine-Westphalia and with support of Lower Saxony in form of drummer and founding member Axel Kruse – who mauls the drumheads for Mad Max as well –, Jaded Heart have turned into a German-Swedish formation since 2005 with singer Johan Fahlberg and 2006 with guitarist Peter Oetros emphasizing the band’s international standing.
On their already 11th album “Common Destiny”, Jaded Heart present themselves as usual at their best. Heavy riffs and metal-oriented lyrics lead to grand refrains with catchy melodies going straight into your mind. However, if you are looking for a ballad on the new CD, you are looking in vain which surely classifies as evidence that Jaded Heart take off full steam into their third decade of their band history.
The band produced “Common Destiny“ themselves including co-producers Michael Voss and Chris Lausmann who had also been partners at the mixing console for the previous albums “Sinister Mind” and “Perfect Insanity”.
As a special treat the album “Common Destiny” includes the video clip for the song “With You“. Auf „Common Destiny“, ihrem bereits 11. Studioalbum, präsentieren sich Jaded Heart in gewohnter Bestform. Harte Riffs und metal-lastige Verse münden in große Refrains, deren eingängige Melodien sich sofort in den Gehörgängen festfressen. Eine Ballade sucht man indes vergebens auf dem neuen Silberling, was durchaus als Indiz dafür zu werten ist, dass Jaded Heart mit Volldampf in die dritte Dekade ihrer Bandgeschichte starten.
Produziert wurde „Common Destiny“ von der Band selbst, als Co-Produzenten fungierten Michael Voss und Chris Lausmann, die bereits bei den Vorgänger-Alben „Sinister Mind“ und „Perfect Insanity“; ihre Hände mit an den Reglern hatten.
Der Videoclip zum Song „With You“ befindet sich als Bonus auf dem Album „Common Destiny“.
