The Magician shuffles 3 cards
and places them face down next to each other. A Spectator chooses one of the
cards. The Magician shows the Spectator 3 separated nuts and bolts each with a
different coloured sleeve as well as a plastic bottle. The Magician then screws
on each of the 3 nuts onto the bolts and places them inside the bottle and
screws on the lid. The Magician places the bottle on the selected card and
makes a magic gesture then proceeds to pick up the bottle and shakes it.
After
about 10 seconds he opens the bottle and tips out the contents. One of the
nuts has separated itself from one of the 3 bolts but the other 2 remain
attached.
When the Spectator’s chosen card is turned over there is a picture of
the nut, bolt and sleeve that matches the same color as the bolt and sleeve
with the separated nut.
The other 2 cards are turned over to show pictures of the other coloured sleeved nuts and bolts.
