Opal and diamond Brooch with Clasp for Freshwater Pearls Choker.
18 carat yellow and white gold brooch/necklace clasp, handmade, four section rub-over set with a solid opal cabochon weighing 7.50 carats – recorded weight – approx. 17.3 x 11.8 x 5.38mm, low domed, dark variety, orange, green and yellow pin fire pattern, moderate intensity, quite good coverage.
Channel set in white gold open block mounts has four x 0.17/0.18 carat princess cut diamonds (0.69 carats – recorded weight – approx. 3.1mm square, not graded – valued as Colour F/G, Clarity VS/SI, good make).
Similarly set in triangular side points with two x 0.06 carat round brilliant cut diamonds (0.12 carats, not graded – valued as Colour G/H, Clarity SI, medium/good make)
Detailed at either end with a total of 10 golden natural sapphires, two x 2.1mm, two x 2.6mm, two x 3.3mm and two x 3.6mm (total recorded weight 1.40 carats – distinct yellow/gold in colour, of Australian origin).
The back has a short hinge pin with roller catch attachment.
The total length of the brooch measures 15.7mm and measures 21mm in height.
The necklace fitting is handmade and clips into the brooch fitting. The choker necklace comprises of 2 rows of oval shaped 4.5 – 5.0mm white freshwater pearls of good quality, knotted, with a total length of approximately 1.30 strands.
