These are low profile RoHS zinc plated steel with half hexagonal and half round body nutsert which provides easier installation, they are also called hex inserts or hexserts. When installed into a corresponding hole, the corners of the inserts expand to fill the hole providing exceptional resistance to spinning.

Hex inserts are ideal for applications where fastener failure is not an option requiring prevailing torque locking screws.
