Old prints and engravings showing the Maltese are very scarce, so I was delighted to locate this one.  This picture is from a series printed and published in Italy to the very highest of standards as fine art reproduction engravings.  They are printed on “antiqued” marbled paper and really do look totally authentic in everything except the price!  Information is very scarce on the artist, but I do know that he was born in Lille in 1816 and died in Paris 1899 aged 83.  The actual engraver was the French master of the metal plate Pierre Cottin (1823-1886).

Excellent. With no creases, scuffs or bends. I suspect you won't see one in better condition than this one.

Dispatch

Your item will be very carefully packed and posted to you in a proper stout postal tube, complete with plastic end caps. Your print will be wrapped in acid free tissue paper to protect it during transit and you will also receive a full page of hints and tips on how to look after your artwork, a full biography of the artist, illustrated with a photograph of the actual artist, an illustrated list of some other items I may have available on your breed
