This is a huge original oil painting of a winter landscape by the artist Roland Norman Folland (1932-1999).

Signed by the artist, which he does with the initial 'F' facing backwards.

His work has been increasing in popularity and therefore value since his death in 1999.

It is an oil on canvas framed, like many of his paintings, in a large gilded frame which is covered in dark brown hessian.

The frame is very typical of the 1960s/70s period and the painting itself is enigmatic, serene and mysterious.

Its an eery wintery scene with a river or perhaps a lake and bare gnarled winter trees.

It is in excellent condition. I can't see any damage at all to the painting, it looks a little flat in the photos, the light wasn't great but when you see it with your own eyes you will not be disappointed. The only signs of its age are some dust residue on the hessian. Please see ALL photos and remember it is an original work of art which is at least 40 years old.

It would make an attractive decoration in the right home. A good size and an ideal gift. It could also make an ideal prop for a theatrical, tv or film production or photoshoot location.

Approx measurements: 54½" x 20" inc. frame, 48" x 18" visible painting.
