This is a charming pair of wooden two part, boot trees.  A little more unusual than most with a hinged heal area and a hinged toe; this makes it easier to remove the stretcher from the boot. They are in "as found" condition and have not been repaired or restored . 

So evocative of a time long gone;  similar to the boots and stretchers seen in the "Downton Abbey" boot room.

They are in good condition with the scuffs and marks you would associate with years of use, the wood has a great depth of colour and patina

They measure 23 cm (9 inches) high to the top of the handle. The sole is 28.5 cm (11 1/4 inches) Heel to toe and 9 cm (3 1/2 inches) wide at their maximum.

 Please use the above measurements to estimate an approximate shoe size.
