This Buy it Now auction is for 5 different empty American Machine Gun Ammo boxes.  Three of them are Second World War era vintage, and the other two are Korean War era vintage.   In the main listing photo from left to right, in the back row are : Korean War era smooth side Cal .50, WW2 era pressed metal Cal .50, and WW2 era Airborne Paratrooper Cal .50.  In the lower row are : Korean War era smooth side Cal .30, and WW2 era pressed metal Cal .30.  All these boxes are empty and in Used Condition.  The Korean War era Cal .50 Machine Gun ammo box is painted blue and has a maker's marking of "A.FX.".  The Korean War era Cal .30 Machine Gun ammo box has a faded side stencil marking, and a "UNITED" maker's marking.  The WW2 era pressed metal Cal .50 Machine Gun ammo box has a "AMM. BOX CAL.50M2" marking and an "ARTCRAFT" maker's marking next to the Ordinance flaming bomb logo.  The WW2 era pressed metal Cal .30 Machine Gun ammo box has a "CAL. .30M1 AMMUNITION BOX" side marking, and a "REEVES" maker's marking next to the Ordinance flaming bomb logo.  The Rare WW2 era Airborne Paratrooper Cal .50 Machine Gun ammo box is missing the handle on the top.  It at one time would have had either a leather or canvas handle.  The front black ink stamped marking is faded away, but I can still see the "M2" part of the marking.  The pressed metal ammo boxes are the most common types that were replaced by the smooth side types during the Korean War era.  Latter Vietnam War era ammo boxes do not have a Directional Bullet marking on them.  All these ammo boxes, except the Rare Airborne Paratrooper Cal .50, have a Directional Bullet logo on them so a soldier would know which wat the ammo would feed.  This listing does not have the Wooden Cal. 30 and Cal .50 ammo boxes, or the Rare Airborne Paratrooper Cal .30 ammo boxes.  Those are other kinds that existed in WW2 that are not offered for sale here.  There was also another really Rare Cal .30 type that was used only on Tanks, that I do not have.  So, what is offered here are the two most common WW2 types of machine gun ammo boxes with the latter Korean War versions, and a Rare WW2 era Airborne Paratrooper version of the Cal .50.  Even though these are WW2 to Korean War era ammo boxes, the older ammo boxes also got used during the Vietnam War era too.  Also I have heard that there were 15 different manufacture's who made ammo boxes in WW2.  The boxes listed here for sale weigh around 25 Pounds LBS.  They will not fit inside a Priority Mail box.

Condition:

Normally I have old used items in bad to good Used Condition. They typically are in used condition and may have defects such as stains, moth holes, dirt, dents, scratches, etc. These items are 70 years old and things slowly get destroyed by time. Please do not expect something in new condition. These items are in used condition. Most of the vintage items I list are not meant to be wearable clothing, or as usable items. They are sold as old collectibles only.

Shipping:

Shipping will be done via the US Postal Service. Priority Mail will be the means of shipping and Delivery Confirmation will be used. Overseas buyers will have a United States Customs Declaration Form Tracking Number. The item weighs around 25 lbs in an open box as a rough weight for listing purposes. I won't know the shipping weight until the item is taken to my local post office. I am not an employee of the USPS and the weight is just a rough measurement for listing purposes. The Shipping amount is just a rough guess based on the weight of the item in an open box. I only package an item after it sells and then take it to the post office so the clerk can inform me of the correct shipping amount. I am not doing this as a business, I am just some guy trying to sell off my private collection of Militaria in order to try and pay some bills. I am using eBay as a garage sale. If I can use a USPS Priority Mail Flat Rate box to send the item in, I'll mail it in one of those. A Small Priority Mail Flat Rate box costs $7.15 to mail within the United States, or $33.95 to mail overseas outside the USA. A Medium Priority Mail Flat Rate box costs $13.60 to mail within the United States, or $66.50 to mail overseas outside the USA. A Large Priority Mail Flat Rate box costs $18.85 to mail within the United States, or $86.95 to mail overseas outside the USA. I have mailed items in the past to: (Brazil, United Kingdom, France, Italy, Netherlands, Australia, Canada, Malta, Hungry, Belgium, Taiwan, etc.)

Payment:

The only acceptable means of Payment allowed by eBay is via PayPal. I ONLY accept PayPal payments!!! Typically there is an error with the calculated shipping. I try to use Priority Mail Flat Rate boxes to make the shipping cost more set in stone. Sometimes I have to have the clerk at the post office tell me the exact shipping cost. If you send immediate payment, you either might overpay or underpay for the shipping cost. After you send payment I'll package the item and have the clerk at the post office inform me of the exact shipping amount. If you overpaid for the shipping amount I will refund the excess shipping amount. If you sent immediate payment and underpaid for the shipping cost I will have to send you a PayPal request for the rest of the shipping amount needed to be able to mail the item. Also, I am typically broke without any funds over a dollar in my bank account. It takes between 3 to 5 days for PayPal Funds to transfer to my bank account. I will not be able to mail an item until after the PayPal funds finish transferring over to my bank. I'm not trying to play games and cheat anyone on the shipping costs. I'm trying to be 100% up front and honest.

Feedback:

I mostly only leave other people feedback after they leave me feedback. Chances are, if you don't leave me any feedback I'll probably not leave you any either.

Return policy:

My preference for a return policy is, All Sales Final! No Returns! I try to be 100% Honest and show photos and describe items the best I can. Items tend to be old, used, and as is. There is an ebay policy against Buyer's Remorse, it has helped me win quit a few dispute cases in the past.

Questions:

Feel free to ask me a question. But, I am not an experienced tailor and I do not take measurements of clothing. If I see a size marking on an old Quartermaster Tag, I will try to show a photo of it. If I say that I do not know the size than please do not waste both of our time by asking about the size of an old militaria collectable. I am not selling usable items or wearable clothing. I am just selling off my collection of vintage military artifacts. I also tend to have items packaged away to try and keep moths from eating them. I only dig them out if they sell and need to be mailed. Please do not ask me to take more photos, because I probably won't take any more photos of things I have already stored away.
