Description:

These interchangeable amulets represent some of the symbols most
commonly found in ancient Egyptian art and religion. They were often
pinned onto mummies for protection in the afterlife. The ankh,
hieroglyphic symbol for “life,” also promised its wearer endurance
and welfare. The revered scarab was related to the sun god, resurrection
and eternal life. The cat, admired for its virility and strength, was related
to the goddess Bastet, protector of women and associated with joy, felicity
and family closeness.
