The Genesis Beta CX 26 2017 has two possible jobs. It could be a dedicated cyclo-cross bike for that rare child who has decided to pursue this particular race discipline. More practically it could be for the child who really wants to get into drop-bar riding, but also wants to accompany the family along days out in the country, taking in tow paths and parkland. Luckily, you get to choose, with the Beta 26 offering both options. With 26" rather than 700C wheels, smaller children will fit the bike and will be able to easily reach the single Sora shifter in order to operate the 9 rear gears (more than many adult bikes get at this price point). When it comes to slowing down, cable operated disc brakes mean predictable stopping irrespective of mud, grit or rain, with cross bar mounted levers helping children to brake in comfort. The fast rolling off road tyres will offer plenty of grip when things get slippery without being a drag on the tarmac ride home. The Genesis Beta CX 26 2017 is a bit of a Goldilocks bike, far more than just a junior cyclo-cross machine, it will allow children to access all sorts of riding without parents having to buy all sorts of bikes.
