You are looking at a 1948 Rare Vintage Breitling Triple Date - Triple Chronograph Datora.  This watch is very hard to find.

This watch has been in my safe for 5-6 years.  Wasn’t worn much so decided to list it.

This is a manual wind watch which features Day, Date and Month indicators in English.  These advance as designed and as the watch cycles through 24 hours.  These are first set by small buttons on the side of the case. The watch is special as it also measured elapsed time up to 12 hours.  The top pusher will start and stop the time measurement and then when the bottom pusher is pressed the subdials return to the zero or 12 o’clock position.  All features work as designed.  A beautiful complicated mechanism.

The watch is easily wound with no hiccups.  The Datora keeps very good time within a couple minutes a day.  I noticed that every once and a while, the sweep hand will catch on the minute hand.  If time permits and buyer wants I will have my watchmaker correct it.

The Datora movement is a Valjoux 72C which is the same machine in the Rolex Cosmograph of the 1940’s.  I don’t have my micrometer but diameter looks like 35mm without crown.  The watch is Gold Plated and for some reason was unfortunately stamped on the back cover. Wasn’t me I purchased it like that.

Watch has what I believe is an original dial with very cool patina caused by 70 years of time keeping.  The watch is signed Breitling Datora on the dial, the movement is signed and the inside of the case back is signed.  The crown must have been replaced in the past.

I have tried to take high resolution photos, which show every small flaw and every beatiful detail.

I ship insured requiring a signature. Any bidders from outside the USA need to request shipping quote.

I have been an eBayer for a long time and have sold many watches in the past. Please search my feedback as seller and you will find very many happy Watch purchasers.  I have other complicated watches listed this week.

Thanks for looking.
