Description
Minolta Super A 35mm Rangefinder Camera w/ 50mm F1.8 Super Rokkor Lens. This rare bird was made in 1957. The cosmetics are 8 out of 10, there's a dent in the corner to the left of the rewind knob. There are some surface marks in the finish all-around. The optics are clear, no haze, no fungus, no scratches or wipemarks, no dust inside. The shutter is working at all speeds. The viewfinder is a bit cloudy. The rangefinder images are bright. Comes with a front cap.
What is the difference between a scratch in the glass of a lens and a hairline wipe mark? A scratch can be felt when you gently run a fingernail across it and a hairline wipe mark is only in the coating and cannot be felt. A scratch may refract light if its deep enough. A wipe mark won't.
Vintage means usable but not necessarily perfect optically, mechanically or cosmetically.
