Quad II full capacitor and resistor set. Here we have a full set of capacitors and resistors for a pair of Quad II amplifiers. Some people spend hundreds of pounds on designer capacitors that are simply not required and rarely improve the sound of your precious quad II's. I use good old paper in oil and carbon resistors in all my rebuilds to try and retain the original Quad II sound. Others use polypropylene capacitors and metal film resistors and these can actually degrade the sound of your precious Quad II amplifiers. The 0.1uf 400V capacitors that sit just below the KT66 tubes should always be grounded with the fitted clamp. This is important and the ones I use fit perfectly. This pack includes 4 X 0.1uf 400V paper in oil military spec capacitors, plus 2 X 0.1 polypropylene in oil capacitors, 2 X 22uf capacitors to replace the 25uf capacitors and 4 X 33uf 400V PSU capacitors. Also includes a full set of carbon film resistors. Everything you need to completely electronically refurbish a pair of Quad II valve amplifiers. The 33uf capacitors will fit in neatly alongside the old 16+16uf Quad capacitors. All you need to do is to unsolder the positive wires and connect to the positives on the 33uf capacitors. Use the negative as an anchor point. Works a treat. This way the quad II still looks original. I use 33uf 400V capacitors for the power supply as will improve the sound with a little more dynamics.
