This is an  Elasmotherium, the giant Pleistocene rhino I sculpted in zbrush.  The model is 1/48 scale 3 7/8 inches long by 2 inches high (97 mm long x 52 mm high).  Perfect for a Ice age diorama. I can only print a couple models a day so they're going to be very, very limited!  Since they take so long to make  (most take 3 hours or more) I charge by the time it takes to make the model.  A 3d printer prints with horizontal layers or striations that you will notice in the pictures. I kind of like these lines because when I paint these models it's like painting on canvas.  Models are printed in ABS plastic -same plastic as lego bricks and very strong.
I ship everything very carefully packed in a brown box.
I mail everything USPS First Class PKG. So shipping will take – 2 to 5 days.  And please notice if you buy 3 or more plastic models from me or my ebay store (Paleo Sculpture) there will be no shipping charge in the USA.  I always combine shipping on the 2 or more items you purchase.  If you order more than 1 model please let me send the invoice so I can combine shipping or take off shipping for the 3 model option . Other countries are mailed First Class Mail International and you will only pay one shipping cost for 2 or more models.  I always refund extra shipping-so if you make a mistake and over pay in shipping I will refund the unnecessary extra shipping payment to your paypal account.
As you know it's hard to find good models of this subject and if this sells well I'll be posting many more different subjects. Keep coming back and see what's new!

If you want to paint your purchased model here are some hints.
When I paint a 3d animal I usually paint the first layer the “local” color of the animal. Local color for the elephant is the“dark grey” over the whole body.  Local color for a brown bear is brown, a yellow bird is yellow and so on. After the local color is dry I wash over a darker shade of the local color were there would be shadows and details. (wash is using more thinner with the paint, more water with acrylic) After the wash is dry I dry brush a little lighter shade of the local color over the top of the model and top of the details. Dry brush is just having a little paint on the brush and quickly rubbing over model. Don’t overdo the dry brushing  you can get carried away. Now the model will start looking realistic. Finish up by doing the details-pink for the mouth, white for tusks and teeth and for the eyes I advise leaving out the “whites” around the eyeball. Just paint the eyes a dark shade, since they are always in shadow. When you view a small model the closest you usually look is like 8 inches or a foot away. At that distance you would never see tiny painted details. At a distance an illusion of reality is created-especially under the correct lighting.
