Clara Morris was a Canadian-born American actress and author. She made a handful of silent
 films and then devoted herself to writing. In her book, "Life on Stage: My Personal Experiences
 and Recollections" (1901) she recounts her meeting with John Wilkes Booth, the
assassin of Abraham Lincoln.
