Up for bid in this auction is the pictured VERY CLEAN all original Ca. 1960 production date Croton ladies Ref. 8193- this watch features a beautiful 22.5mm diameter yellow gold plated (marked for 10 microns between 6:00 lugs) case!!  The DIAL on this watch is also spectacular- ORIGINAL and so very clean- at least an EXCELLENT rating overall.  Right now this watch does wind and set the time smoothly and has run and kept time RIGHT ON over my 23+ hour timekeeping test of it.  The movement powering this watch is a Croton 17 Jewels Swiss Made Caliber F-JON / F141 that is marked as a FEF Fleurier Caliber 401 ebauche.  Those markings are below the balance wheel area and Fleurier was a very widely used movement manufacturer during this period- MANY fine brands!  The watch came to me fitted with the pictured strap- it’s really nice looking and made to look like brown leather BUT is actually plastic / rubber!!  The strap is in nice shape so I did not change it out.  The CASE on this watch shows minimal wear for a 50+ year old 10 Micron gold plated surface- with all the wear (it’s not much!) taken into consideration, this case rates VERY GOOD PLUS.  I’m not sure what else to say about this one, other than- DO NOT let it pass you by- this meaningful well constructed Swiss timepiece would make the PERFECT gift fro that someone special.  I have priced this watch to $ELL with a ROCK BOTTOM low opening bid and there is NO RESERVE!!!
