Singer Red Eye Treadle Sewing Machine head.  Serial number is G8874497, which makes it a 1921 model.

This listing is for the sewing machine head only, not the cabinet.

The sewing machine base measures 14 1/2" long and 7" wide.  The opening for the base is 16 1/2" long because there is space to the right of the machine for a belt guide.

Overall good vintage condition of the finishes.  Slight rust and loss to decals, which are all original.

Mechanically, the drive wheel turns easily.  Belt is broken. Needle raises and lowers easily.  Drive wheel is not making the needle operate currently.   Has a bobbin installed.  I have two lengths of cord which may be prior drive belts.

I understand this was one of the best sewing machines ever made and is probably well worth a mechanical tune up to get it sewing.

Has been stored inside in dry location for many years.

No returns, sold as is.

We can arrange for local pickup if you are able and would like to save shipping costs.

NOTE:  If not sold before April 28th, we will be taking this to a large town wide yard sale/flea in Rutland, MA on the 28th.  If you are local and want to see it there, please attend.  We'll be on the Lower Common and the Rutland TWYS is a great event!
