Maria Louise Ramé, known as Marie Louise de la Ramée was an English novelist. Her
 pseudonym was Ouida. During her career she wrote for than 40 novels, children's books
and collections of short stories and essays. Several of her novels were made into films 
including one of her most well-known novel, "Under Two Flags" (1867). 


Born: 1839, Bury St. Edmunds, England; died: 1908, Viareggio, Italy.
