Your Classic Car Carpet Set will be handcrafted by me (Josh), the "Old School" way, in Langham, Colchester CO4 5NE UK.

For a Christmas delivery, your order paperwork needs to be finalised and on my Cutting List (Not from date of order) on or before:
8pm or 22.00 on Thursday December 07th 2023.

Last UK Mainland Christmas dispatch date for Stocked and completed Made to Order items is:
Thursday December 21st 2023.

Subject to change, depending on my workload, material stock and Couriers.

Normally, my build time is around 3 to 5ish weeks from adding your order to my "Cutting List".

So, to make sure everyone gets theirs in time for Christmas. I'm working 16+ hours a days, 7 days a week.

Hessian Backed Handmade to order Classic Car Carpet Set.

Your new carpet set will be handcrafted to your specifications the "Old School" way by hand at our family run factory with over 40 years of experience in the motor trade.

To order for these cars listed below, just follow the instructions in the "How to order" section below.

Note 1: This set has Underlay and Sound Deadening material (Felt) glued and sewn into the underside of each foot well mat.

Note 2: Some cars were converted from Automatic to Manual. If this happened to your car then let us know exactly what tunnel is fitted, so we can make the correct set of Foot Well Mats.

Note 3: Some cars were also converted from Left to Right hand drive by a dealer in Felixstowe when an excess of cars did not ship abroad. These have different foot well shapes and we do not have patterns for them. So we’ll need your help to complete.

Also: It takes 95 mins to hand cut out, 45 mins to Make & Glue & Sew the Heel Pads and Felt material to the Foot Well backs & 90 mins to stitch together & sew on the Binding.

Hessian Backed is a high-quality, Belgium made, modern, short pile tufted car carpet material that's around 5mm to 6mm thick and comes with a fairly stiff, flexible and durable Hessian backing making it ideal for any everyday classic. It also has a slight sheen/glint when the sunlight catches it.

Your made to order carpet set will be hand created by us and our machinists which allows you to choose from 9 Carpet and 16 Binding colours in any combination. (See "How to order" below)

Your set comes fitted with a Driver's Heel Pad as standard but you can also add the Passenger's side to, this does add to the overall price.

Depending on the car there may be Underlay and Sound Deadening (Felt) drop in sets (a must have item on any classic), Over Mats, Boot/Trunk sets etc...

Once fitted, your car's interior will look and smell like new again.

Sadly, creating car carpets this way is a dying art, no one is coming to replace the skilled staff, so buy your car the best carpet set out there today before another British industry disappears (Ok we expect to carry on for anther 20 years so there's hope).

Firstly, make sure you're happy with your material choice, we handmake your cars carpet set in three different materials, Auto Velour, Hessian Backed Short Pile and Tufted Deep Pile. There should be an individual advert for each at the bottom of this advert under the Related section.

Sadly, eBays software is so buggy that they are not always in the order we put them in...

1st Menu (Colours)
Choose your Carpet colour with matching Binding colour.

2nd Menu (Binding Colours)
Want to change the Binding to a different colour?
Then Click Yes and we will get in touch with you, if No, Click No
This option changes the total price.

3rd Menu A (Steering & Heel Pads)
Heel Pads are attached to the front foot well carpet where your feet reside, your set will come with a driver's side heel pad but feel free to add the passengers.

As soon as I see your order, I'll send you your confirmation email to an eBay registered email address. This is not your email address because eBay withheld it from us so eBay's A.I. controlled monitoring system can continue monitoring us for fee violations…

If the eBay redirected (through their USA eBay) email actually gets to you in one piece and hasn't been edited or wiped clean or messed up by eBays A.I. software, then please fill in all the answers requested including your own email address, as that way we can finalise your order in private without an auction company listening in and making decisions on what we can or cannot discuss.

This email is sent to you to gather your car and order the finer details, that only you know. Contrary to popular belief eBay has no clue as to what happened to your car in the past 40+ years, so please read through and answer all the RED questions, all others are optional, as these are the minimum, we need to pick the correct set of templates to cut your order out with.
 
Once I have all the answers I need, I'll send you your final "Order added to my cutting list" email and then we start cutting your order out.

Build time
Week One/Two
As its heavy work moving 130kg a roll of material, your order will be hand cut when your colour/material comes to our cutting table at our Langham, Colchester Factory as that’s the quickest way to get through them all. Once cut it will be transported on Friday to our machinists.

Week Two/Three
The machinists will assembly and add the binding, as they have done so for the past 30 years. I should be collecting the next Friday when I bring them the new sets to work on. Once back in Langham, it will be readied** for dispatch that coming week.

Week Three/Four
If not dispatched on weeks three/four due to work load, it will be readied** for dispatch on week four/five.

**This means de-threaded, de-fluff and de-flock, then final inspection and then packed, that takes 15 to 20 minutes per set, so very time-consuming and can take two days just to get through them all which means no cutting that day.

Week Four/Five
This is just in case… Hopefully we should complete quicker, but life likes and eBay likes throwing spanners around...

My partner and I will do everything we can to get your beautiful handmade order out on time if not beforehand... And why wouldn’t we? Being of the pre-internet era, from the old school way of thinking and making things by hand, we were not born into this new text based world, and we've had to adapt, abet slowly, kicking and screaming too, so please give us time to respond.

Opening times.
We prefer working at night, so available till gone midnight. But never before Midday.

This way we’re able to help you when you're with your car or at home and not just at work.

We work till 4am usually but on Friday mornings continue through till 7am where we take the week’s cut sets to the machinists. Making Thursday/Friday a 30+ hour day and a 90+ hour week at least. Hence, we shut at 3.30 on Friday

Monday to Thursday 12.00 Midday till gone midnight 

Friday 12.00 Midday till 3.30pm or 15.30 

Saturday 4pm or 16.00 till gone midnight

Sunday. Preferably closed as we need some sleep but if you insist then post 4pm or 16.00, we will answer the phone and emails but we're prepping for the week ahead. Plus, we have Old School Sunday dinner between 5 and 8pm…

Our eBay approved ordering System.

eBay's software is not designed for handmade to order items like our hand-crafted carpet sets. Only the raw materials are in stock and we make your set upon ordering.

After many months of ironing out our ordering system, eBay gave us the green light and added an addendum (2017) to our eBay business account that allowed our times and quantities to override eBay’s own.

Therefore, when pressing the Buy it Now button You are agreeing to…
By purchasing you are agreeing to our delivery times and terms and ignoring eBay's displayed dispatch times. Please follow our lead and all will be well... We really do have your best interests at heart.

How to communicate safely whilst on eBay.
We’re old school and I’m Dyslexic so I (Josh) prefer to chat than to type. I was not born when typing was the norm, so bare with us.

If you insist on using eBays A.I controlled and monitored message service, then please only press the “I Have a Question” or “Details About the Item” buttons as you’ll get your reply or update on your order you want, without inflicting damage to our account. (An eBay only problem, getting penalised for an update request.)

How NOT to communicate whilst on eBay.
I beg you not to press the “Where’s my order” or any other buttons bare the ones above in eBay’s message service when asking for an update and on the Feedback Page “Did it arrive on time”, as both are designed to destroy your sellers account and loss of Seller status (to gain more fees for their shareholders, who don’t care that we get punished for a courier problem). For me that’s the loss of my family’s home, for no fault of our own… 

But this is shareholder eBay for you and they really don't care as long as their shareholders get their unearned fees

eBays redirected email service. 
This is the latest goalpost moving and the worst part of eBay to date. eBay have removed your personal email address and replaced it with one of their own so that they can circumvent UK and EU privacy laws by redirecting it through their eBay USA email servers.

This causes huge problems for you and I as often eBay’s A.I. monitoring software fails to forward on my confirmation email to you or sends you a jumbled mess or wipes your reply clean and adds the word “null” instead. (An eBay only problem.)

We work really hard for years to look after our clients my way, the old school and honest way and not the eBay way as that way just brings out the anger and frustration in people whilst trying to confirm their order via the ridiculous processes which can be is agonisingly slow sometimes.

So please, as soon as you have purchased (and not before as we’ll both get penalised as eBay is always listening in) forward on your personal email address so there won’t be any slowing down whilst eBay reads and decides what to do with our communications.

UK Shipping. 
£17.99 is included in the eBay price you pay to cover a UK courier and carpet box. The half hour shipping preparation time is not included.

The box costs us over £5.00 as its courier proof and designed to stop couriers from bouncing it to make it wider so they can fine us... Modern couriers, milk us for everything they can get, almost as bad as eBay. 

Sadly, eBays shareholders take a large percentage of all shipping costs too and we have not included that in our shipping costs, so we make a loss on shipping on every order. (Another eBay only problem, that being greed

International Shipping.
If you're not on the UK mainland, then you're international. Apart from Northern Ireland and some of the Isles off the coast of the UK, all other international shipping quotes are eBay’s, you’re paying eBay to use the eBay Global Shipping Program (eGSP).

eBay’s Global Shipping Program (eGSP) How it works…
Firstly eBay won't let us change or ship to any other address other than the UK eBay depot. Once eBay states that they have received your order, from there on it's all down to eBay.

If it's late or lost or whatever, then it’s entirely eBay’s doing, not ours. , PLEASE DO NOT OPEN AN EBAY CASE AGAINST US IF IT'S NOT OUR FAULT you’ll badly affect our account if you do. (We'll get penalised for eBay's wrongdoing, again, another eBay only problem.)

eGSP works like this.
This is a two-part shipping process.

In simple terms, We ship your order to eBay UK depot and eBay UK ships to you.

You cannot change the delivery address… eBay won’t let you or Us.

Once we have hand-crafted your order, we will dispatch it to eBay’s UK forwarding depot for eBay to process. Then eBay ships your order to you.

The tracking number we email you is to your personal email address (not eBays redirected one) and is to eBay’s UK depot only, not to your chosen delivery address, eBay send you a new tracking number once it logs you onto their system.

Once eBay have signed for your order, you and I will get updates from eBay as the second part of its journey begins. 

But eBay will take it’s time (up to a week sometimes) to in touch to let you and I know they have it, this is normal, so do not worry and just hang in there and eBay will come through.

Once we get that message, check your purchase section for an updated eBay tracking number… We do not get that tracking number.

Any problems with eBay shipping, please talk to me first, otherwise eBay A.I. Software will bludgeon its way in and ruin everything. (Another eBay only problem). ... And again, please do not click the "Where's my order" button as that open a case against us... Adds a mark onto our account for no reason what so ever..

All pictures shown are examples of the quality of workmanship only. Please do not assume that what is pictured is what you will receive as it's impossible to photograph everything without incurring a massive expense which would have to be added your buying price. If you would like more pictures please send us a message..

Don't buy those you'll regret it.
Please do not get our handmade to order bespoke carpet sets handcrafted in the UK confused with the cheaper sets you'll find on eBay from China, Eastern Europe and so on. There is no comparison between us and them. Our sets are handmade in Colchester UK from British and Belgium materials and will last and look great for years to come and not wear out in months.

All good things come to those that wait for bespoke handmade carpet sets. ;-}
