Robert Morley was an English actor and raconteur of wide girth and a larger-than-life
 personality.

 He made his film debut as Louis XVI with Norma Shearer in Marie Antoinette (1938)
 for which he was nominated for Best Actor in a Supporting Role.

 Films include: Major Barbara (1941),
The African Queen (1951), Beat the Devil (1954). 

He made his Broadway debut in 1938 in the title role 
of Oscar Wilde at the Fulton Theatre.
