Ferdinand Preiss,1882-1943, which is considered to be one of the leading representatives of the Art Deco movement. 

The Statue had been repaired by the previous owner; I had purchased the Statue as is looking today, many years back, from England. 



The statue had been evaluated by experts at a value between $800-$1200 as can be seen below. A copy of the evaluation will be send it to the winning bidder.

The figures has, as you suggest, seen better days with the right ivory hand being replaced at the wrong angle, damage to the left hand and damage to the neck. There is also a fair amount of paint flaking on the body which will affect the value.
