For sowing, 1kg would cover approximately 13.00m²

Guidance on sowing or over-seeding grass seeds:
Soil preparation
- Prepare the soil by skimming off any old grass, removing large stones and weeds, and then roughly leveling.
- Fork over the site and rake level to leave a fine finish.
- Firm the soil by walking over, placing weight on your heels and rake again.
- Two or three days before the seed is to be sown, lightly rake in a granular fertiliser.
 
How to sow seeds:
- Use canes to mark out the area to be sown into square metres.
- Shake the box to mix up seeds.
- A good rule of thumb is to spread seed at 50g per square metre (or at the rate it says on the packet). Weigh out the seed to cover each square metre into a
container and mark the level on the outside to act as a guide.
- Split each 50g in half and scatter seed in one direction across a square and then spread the rest in the opposite direction.
- After sowing, lightly rake over the area and water. Water daily and keep the soil moist. Sunlight and daily watering will result in fine germination.
 
Aftercare
- Protect the newly sown seed from birds by stretching fruit netting over the top.
- It is also worth cordoning off the area with string and canes to prevent people from walking across the soil.
- Seedlings are susceptible to drought, so keep them watered during dry spells. Test your soil regularly by pushing your fingers into it.
- Carefully weed the area by hand, removing any weeds before they flower. As the grass continues to grow, it will stifle weed growth.
- When the new lawn is 5cm (2in) high, cut with a rotary mower to 2.5cm (1in). Carefully rake up the clippings. Do this for the next four cuts.

      IMPORTANT: Please check item for any damage before accepting delivery. If the item is damaged in any way please DO NOT accept the delivery as this will enable us to claim the costs back from the couriers, and re-ship a new item to you immediately.

      Goods will not be left if there is no one available to receive them. If goods have to be redelivered because no one is available on the agreed delivery date there will be an additional charge made. If the order is cancelled after an unsuccessful delivery attempt, the delivery charge will not be refunded.

      Checking Goods for Damage:
      Please do not sign for the item until you are satisfied that it is in a perfect condition. Any transit damage must be detailed on the carrier's delivery note at the receipt of delivery. Our carriers will require that you sign for goods in good condition on delivery. It is vital that somebody is there to receive and inspect the goods on the delivery date arranged. Any discrepancies must be marked as damaged on the delivery note, and phoned through to us and the carriers office within 48 hours.
      All goods must be checked on delivery and not signed for until you are satisfied. If in doubt please sign the delivery note as damaged and report to us within 48 hours. Claims for damaged items will not be otherwise accepted. Terms such as Unchecked or Not Checked are taken as clear acceptance of goods. No responsibility can be accepted for any claims once the item is fitted.

      Product warranty cover parts only (not wear & tear or neglect) for 1 year unless otherwise specified. An installation invoice from a professional installer must be provided in the event of a warranty claim. We do not cover carrier costs in any case.

      Faulty parts must be returned to us under the guarantee (at your own expense), then we will send replacement parts at our expense - we sell spare parts at cost price. All responsibility of goods lies with the buyer once they have been received.

      Refunds, Returns and Cancellations

      You may cancel your order at any time before the order is dispatched, and a full refund will be provided. If you are not happy with your purchase, you may return it for a credit against other goods or a full refund (collection charges apply) within 7 days of delivery and subject to the following conditions:

      • Goods must be in their original condition and in their original box and packaging. Any opened packaging must be resealed for collection
      • You are responsible for handing the goods over to the collection courier in perfect condition
      • A refund will only be issued after goods have been inspected and are deemed to be in a saleable condition
      • Carrier costs are not refundable
        We do not refund carrier costs either way. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the item(s) reach us in good condition and we will not be responsible for loss or damage of returned items so please ensure you take out the correct insurance cover. The customer must arrange for the return.
        Any non-faulty items will incur a 30% handling charge. Some items that are non-returnable will be advertised as such. Auction items are non cancellable. Purchases made by businesses are not subject to cancellation.
        We are not qualified to offer any professional advice for any of our products and can accept no liability for claims suggesting the same. You are advised to check the suitability of the product with a professional body.
        If you wish to cancel your order then items may be returned within 7 days by contacting us for a return authorisation code which must be shown outside the package. Any items returned without an authorisation will be refused.
