MEDAL OF HONOR: CORPSMEN & MEDICS

The Medal of Honor is the highest award given in the U.S. military.  It is given for valor in action and is only presented to a very special breed of soldiers – those who perform incredible acts of heroism under extraordinary circumstances, at tremendous personal risk to oneself. These soldiers represent the very heart and soul of America.  More than half of the 245 men who earned the Medal of Honor in Vietnam received the award posthumously.  But dozens of other recipients managed to survive against all odds, and these are just a few of the remarkable stories to emerge from the long and bloody war in Vietnam.  Stories told by the men who were there, of the most heroic actions taken by those who responded to the call for help – with no regard for their own personal safety.  Experience the awe and pride felt by watching these men's stories play out through archival footage of the war and recounted by the Medal of Honor recipients themselves who were honored for the lives they saved.
