Meridian Winds Ergonomic Heavy Mass Saxophone Neck Screws are a hand-crafted, ergonomic alternative to the flat sided screws that have been the status quo on saxophone for over 100 years. The heavier mass of a Meridian Winds neck screw also provides tonal character and color for some discerning artists.

Some screws require 2-3 weeks for production. Thank you for your patience.

We developed these screws with ergonomics in mind. If you play saxophone, you know how much energy has been expended through the years in twisting your wrist to tighten your neck screw. The MW Neck Screw eliminates twisting the wrist, and requires only that you roll it between your thumb and index finger. Some players attest that the screws have some tonal influence on their instruments. We maintain that there are high level players who are able to "feel the pea under 20 mattresses" and who are we to say otherwise?

This listing is for neck screws that fit all models of Selmer Saxophones and Yanagisawa saxophones.

The options are: single screw with long threads (for use in the actual tightening function of the neck socket), single screw with short threads (for use in the lyre screw side of the neck socket when additional heavy mass is desired), or a set of 1 long and 1 short.

They come with Gold-plated, Silver-plated, Lacquered brass or raw brass finish.

They are available with or without pearl inlay in all finishes.

There are limited gemstone inlays available with long threads, lacquered brass on the Meridian Winds website.
