Straight from our brass (and silver) instrument repair shop, our USED horns are brought back to life...All major dents are removed, joints re-soldered (if needed), patches repaired (if necessary) and the slides reworked.  Our horns may be buffed, but all are hand polished to a good shine and are in good playable condition.  For the collector who is looking for an instrument; we try to keep the original parts whenever possible; if the playability is good, we feel it should be left to the buyer's discretion to replace parts as desired.  We are proud to offer this refurbished instrument for sale. We have tried to describe it as it is, and have shown what we can in the pictures allowed. We are happy to answer any questions asked.  #99/2016

Up for sale is a 1950 Besson 2-20 Student Tenor Trombone. Engraving on the bell says "50 Medals of Honor", London-Paris-New York, Made in England.  The horn has serial # 371204. This instrument is made from yellow brass and nickel-plate.

There are various scratches and minor dings, and light bell ripples at the ring.  There is a noticeable blemish in the brass near the edge of the bell (see photo).  The slide is playable; with a slight catch between 2nd and 3rd position. The stockings are in very good condition and there is good compression.

This instrument is not lacquered; therefore, this instrument may have to be polished every few months, if played often (we recommend using Weiman METAL Polish).  This trombone comes with a mouthpiece(may not be the one pictured) and a used case.

The slide bore is .485/.485 and the bell is 7 3/8".  This would be a very good choice for a beginning student to play. This horn has a good full tone. Thanks for looking and check out our other items!
