Cluster is the oldest variety grown in the U.S. Origin of the root stock is uncertain. Until the late 1970s, it was one of only a few varieties growing in the U.S. and accounted for the majority of USA hop acreage.  Excellent general purpose hop with medium and well-balanced bittering potential. This hop leaves no undesirable aroma properties. Good for dark beers with roasted and chocolaty aromas. Aroma is a strong floral. Can give a black currant aroma/flavor.

Also known as Golden Cluster, this dual-purpose hop sometimes used in the reproduction of historical styles adds a black currant aroma and flavor profile. An excellent general purpose hop with balanced bittering and aroma.
