More about satin finish coins:
In 2005 the U.S. Mint
introduced Special Satin Finish Coin Sets. These sets did not go into
circulation, therefore, they are not circulation strike coins. Although, Satin
Finish coins look more like circulation strike coins than proofs. However,
Satin Finish coins usually come better struck than their circulation strike
counterparts and are in better quality overall, as they were struck under
extreme care.
