Very rare whitefish server (indicated to be asparagus tongs by the retailer) made from sterling silver in 1812 by William Ely I, William Fearn and William Chawner II of London, England as indicated by the hallmarks.  The server was retailed by Wright, Kay & Co. of Detroit, Michigan and retains the retailer's bag and gift box.

The server was a gift from Mr. and Mrs. Henry Ford of Dearborn, Michigan as indicated by the calling card accompanying the server.

The server measures approximately 11.75" in length is in fine condition with just a touch of wear to the tip of the lower server along with several flea bite sized nicks near the end of the lower server on the edge which are really only noticeable when rubbing a finger along the edge and do not detract from the visual appearance of the server.
