Presidian PDR-3222 Entry-Level DVD Recorder  #2

 

The Presidian PDR-3222 is a DVD Recorder, sold primarily through Radio Shack, that offers multi-format (DVD-R/-RW/+R/+RW) DVD recording at an extremely low price point. The PDR-3222 doesn't offer many of the more advanced features and conveniences of higher-end, name-brand, units - it still offers some practical features for someone looking for a very basic DVD recorder. If you are wary about DVD Recorders, the Presidian PDR-3222 might be a way to take the plunge without spending a lot of money.

 This was a gem when it was new. In fact, if I knew what is causing a herring bone effect on the recording, I would not sell it. I can’t find anyone who knows what is causing this effect. I cleaned the input A/V inputs on the back of the unit and the wires as well with isopropyl alcohol. Seemed good for a while, then it begins doing it again. Tried different A/V cables, and it was the same thing. Now I get tired of erasing DVD-R/W discs to retry again. Sometimes it works like new!
