ARTIFACT: This is a nice 1930s Pan Am "Clipper" pin with orange, white and blue painted details on its wings and body. The "Clipper" style plane was popular in the 1930s and the crews even dressed in navy-like garb to bestow a feeling of safety in the passengers, who believed they were traveling in an airborne version of an ocean liner. 

 VINTAGE: Circa 1930s. 

 SIZE: Approximately 1" in height and 2-5/16" in width. 

 MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass with painted areas. 

 ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with safety-style catch.
