Eastman DT30D Double Top Rosewood Spruce Dreadnought #50129

Eastman's Double Top Series feature an innovative take on the classic flat top design. With a unique modification to their top tonewoods, these guitars are more resonant, responsive, and feature better note clarity and balance. The Double Top models feature a pair of one-millimetre-thin spruce slices that are adjoined by Nomex. The latter is a honeycomb-like resinous substance – patented by DuPont – that was originally designed for use in the aerospace industry. It functions as a rigid wall between the two spruce pieces, adding on layers of density and depth. Yet, the added density does not compromise the guitars’ lightness and sonic range. They are designed to respond to all types of vibrations and can handle a variety of styles, ranging from intricate solo picking to larger band setups.
