Known as a staple of Native American medicinal practices, Boneset is a must for anyone interested in natural remedies. Its name comes from its historical use in treating "break-bone" fever, a testament to its long-standing medicinal value. But don't let its name fool you; Boneset is also a stunner in the garden. Its clusters of fuzzy, white flowers, which bloom from midsummer to early fall, add texture and depth to any garden design. It is also a strong draw for pollinators, making it an ideal choice for those wanting to support biodiversity in their outdoor spaces.

GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:
For fall sowing, no stratification needed. For spring planting, a 60 day cold stratification is needed to break the seeds' dormancy. Start seeds indoors 6-8 weeks before the last frost date or sow directly outdoors after the risk of frost has passed. Plant seeds 1/8 inch deep and keep the soil consistently moist until germination occurs, which typically takes 14-21 days. Transplant seedlings outdoors after the last frost, spacing them 18-24 inches apart. Boneset prefers full sun to partial shade and well-draining, consistently moist soil.
