This unique medal shows St Timothy dressed in his bishop's robes with a mitre and crozier (shepherd's staff). He is reading from a scroll.

St Timothy is mentioned in the New Testament as a friend of Paul and a recipient of two of his letters. He accompanied Paul on several of his missionary journeys and sent reports to Paul about the Christians living in Corinth. In his letters to Timothy, Paul mentions how he was encouraged in his faith by his mother, Eunice, and his grandmother, Lois. He also suggests that he drink a little wine"for the sake of your stomach and frequent illnesses" (1 Timothy 5:23) This is why Timothy is the patron of stomach disorders. Timothy became the bishop of Ephesus and was martyred for opposing worship of the goddess Diana in the year 97.

The medal was cast in sterling silver from an antique medal in the Rosa Mystica Collection so it shows all the beauty and history of the original piece. It comes with a matching holy card in an organza gift bag, ready for gift-giving, and was made in the USA.
