- Nearly 100 street plans have been produced, covering around 650 Scottish cities, towns and villages
- They are the only large series of street maps carrying full, separate indexes of places of interest, schools, places of worship, leisure, community, health and welfare facilities, etc as well as streets.
- The scale of the street maps is the largest generally available (normally 6 or 8 inches to 1 mile), although this is reduced in some cases to allow large towns to fit on a conveniently-sized sheet)
- Based on Ordnance Survey mapping, supplemented by extensive and exhaustive personal survey work.
- Entirely compiled, drawn and printed in Scotland.
