An original antique, copper-engraved map of Herefordshire with accompanying text below and on the reverse of the sheet. Originally published by John Seller in the late seventeenth century, this map was republished from 1773-1815 in Francis Grose's ‘The Antiquities of England and Wales’. This later version has a simpler title cartouche than the earlier Seller map published in ‘Anglia Contracta’ in 1694 and ‘Camden’s Britannia Abridged’ in 1701. The map itself measures approx 145mm x 125mm with the entire sheet measuring approx 190mm x 270mm, descriptive text verso.

Condition report: The overall condition is good, there is overall light toning and very faint age spotting, one or two nicks to the edges of the sheet not affecting the printed area. See photographs.
