Eugene Smith, with a portfolio of images in color (some in #2) and black and white (all in #1), with each photographer given a chronology and list of exhibitions at the back of the book as well as explications of the photographs in thumbnail. The great concept that spawned the International Center of Photography. #2 has a couple of pages on the International Fund for Concerned Photography, its exhibitions and education programs that led to the opening of the ICP on Fifth Avenue 2 years later, where the seller of these books worked for the next five years teaching black and white and Cibachrome.
