It is done in a bright turquoise textured cotton or cotton blend and has short sleeves. The bodice has a semi-sweetheart neckline that is edged in white tatting and has 3 original covered buttons to the waist, with a snap at the upper edge and a hook and eye at the waist. There are 2 on seam pockets and there was once a belt as the loops are still there - a white one would look sharp! This stylish robe has retained crisp color through the years with just VERY light fading on the top of the shoulders - definitely a piece suited for daily use! It is easy to imagine actresses like Rita Hayworth, Marlene Dietrich, Dorothy Lamour, Hedy Lamarr, Audrey Hepburn, etc. in an outfit such as this! This lovely Dressing Gown measures approximately 16" across the back shoulders; 36" bust; 24" waist and about 57" from the back neckline to the hem. REMEMBER THAT THIS IS A REAL PIECE OF MOVIE HISTORY! Please keep in mind the AGE of this gown! This is a beautiful collectable and needs to be seen to be appreciated.
