The outer case is made of wood. 

The overall size of the unit is approximately 17 1/16" x 13 3/4" x 6 1/2"

We checked this unit out.
It works and plays good!  

There are a few scratches, nicks and dings on the unit.

The unit inside the outer wood case has a 1/4" thick shim underneath it along the right side.
It appears to have been done by the manufacturer.
We seen pictures of a similar Allied 435 unit with the wooden case.
The only difference was that it had a shim on the left side of the wooden case also.
We are not sure if these shims are for leveling the unit or not.
The unit we are selling only has one shim on the right side when looking from the back of the unit.
